JEFFREY KIMBALL

Producer, Executive Producer, Additional Cinematography

Prior to his work as one of the Producers of The Day Iceland Stood Still, Kimball’s most prominent work was as the Director, Producer, and nature Cinematographer of Birders: The Central Park Effect, which premiered at SXSW and was broadcast on HBO in 2012.  


He was the Associate Producer of the Sundance 1989 Grand Jury Prize winner True Love, for which he was also the Music Supervisor.  Subsequently, he spent many years Music Supervising for such films as Good Will Hunting, Robert de Niro’s A Bronx Tale, Steven Soderbergh’s King of the Hill, and Nancy Savoca’s Dogfight and Household Saints.  


He also founded and ran the Music Department at the nascent Miramax Films in the 1990s, overseeing the music and soundtrack albums for over 100 films, including Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, The English Patient, Il Postino, Flirting With Disaster, Emma, Scream, Clerks, Heavenly Creatures, Beautiful Girls, Muriel’s Wedding, and From Dusk Til Dawn.  


A committed environmental activist, he served over ten years on the Board of New York City Bird Alliance (formerly NYC Audubon), including four years as President. He has previously served as Vice-Chairman of Point Blue, a leading conservation science organization. He has an M.F.A. from NYU Graduate School of Film and a B.A. from Stanford University.
