Historical Advisor

Ragnheiður Kristjánsdóttir is a historian and Professor at the University of Iceland whose research explores nationalism, democracy, leftist politics, and gender. She serves as the editor of the Scandinavian Journal of History and recently co-edited the book Suffrage, Capital, and Welfare: Conditional Citizenship in Historical Perspective. Among her recent works in Icelandic is the award-winning Konur sem kjósa. Aldarsaga [A Century of Women Voters, 2020], a co-authored work about the history of women voters in Iceland.
